It’s Seishin’s birthday and we wanted to make it memorable. We reserved our weekend (January 4, Saturday and January 5 Sunday 2020) for his birthday. Originally, our plan was to go to Odaiba Seaside Park to see The Unicorn Gundam. Then, go to Oedo Onsen (advance-purchased ticket) in the late afternoon and have dinner there at Oedo Onsen. Then Finally spend the night at the Henn na Hotel Maihama Tokyo Bay. Then on the next morning (Sunday) we will go to DisneySea Resort.
We parked near the beach area and walked toward the Unicorn Gundam Statue. On the way, we stroll through Odaiba Seaside Park, enjoying the Liberty Walkway Bridge going to Diver City Tokyo Plaza. While walking, we can see the views of Rainbow Bridge in the distance and views of Tokyo Bay. We reached the Unicorn Gundam Statue kids were surprised because it was so tall and huge and they were so amazed. After playing around, we planned to head back to our car to go to Oedo Onsen but the kids want to play at the beach first.
While going to Oedo Onsen, Seishin fell fast asleep in the car. He enjoyed a lot strolling and walking walking around Odaiba Sea side Park :). So, we decided to skip the onsen for now. Maybe we could just go in the night after resting at the hotel since Henn na Hotel Maihama Tokyo Bay is not so far, approximately 12 kms away from Odaiba about 15-mins drive. When when reached the hotel’s coin parking lot (Y2,500./night). We parked in the slot with the lock bar under the car. This meant that if we went to Oedo onsen at night, we would need to pay the full parking fee before leaving. Then if we go back from the onsen and parked again, we would need to pay Y2,500 again before leaving tomorrow. That’s why we decided it wasn’t worth going to the onsen anymore.
As we enter the hotel lobby
Henn na Hotel is actually like a robot and dinosaur-themed hotel. We chose this Henn na Hotel because our kids love dinosaurs and it is actually quite close to DisneySea Resort about 3.5kms (about 10 mins drive) and we think it’s really interesting place especially for the kids actually even for adults :). And of course our kids, really love dinosaurs.
When we enter the hotel, we were welcomed by 2 rrrrroooaarrring Tyrannosaurus robots (one full-body mount and upper-body mount)and velociroraptor receptionists.
The hotel’s receptionists were 2 velociroraptors. We checked our booking on the machine while the velociroraptors’ welcoming us. 🙂

At the lobby also we saw the fish robot in an aquarium
robot trash can and there’s also a vending machine.
